Saturday - Michael and I went to a softball practice with my co-ed team then we went to my parents house, Michael helped my stepdad put up a fence while my mom and I shopped for her dress for the wedding. While shopping we discovered that "mother of the bride" dresses are UGLY and pretty frumpy. My mom is not a frumpy kind of lady. So needless to say we didnt find anything she was in love with.
Sunday - I went to another softball practice. It was HOOOT this weekend! After cleaning the house and cooking in the crazy heat Michael finally caved and we turned on the air conditioning. This was the temp at 8 pm! 85 Degrees!!!
My mom had the same problem finding her MOB dress. In the end I think she ended up with a "prom" dress from the young woman's section. I suggest just looking through the formals at stores, not necessarily wedding shops.
