30 Day Blog Challege: Day 10

Day 10: Something I'm afraid of...

I have a lot of fears...what am I not afraid of is the question. I am a worry wort, I always think the worst. I can drive Michael crazy, because if he doesnt text me or call me back after a certain amount of time I start to panic and think he is dead on the side of the road.

30 Day Blog Challege: Day 9

Day 9: A picture of your friends!

Here is a photo of me and one of my best friends, Hillary. I oddly do not have a lot of pictures of myself with friends like I use to. I always forget my camera when we go places. I promise I will get better at that this year!

Day 8: A place I've traveled to

One of my favorite trips was the cruise Michael and I took last May. We did a 7 day cruise out of Tampa. We went to Honduras, Belize and the Cayman Islands. We were also suppose to stop in Mexico, but it was at the beginning of the Swine Flu chaos so they gave us an extra day at sea.

I highly recommend Belize and Honduras. They are BEAUTIFUL countries. In Belize we did a tour of a Mayan cave and zip lined through the cave and jungle. It was really amazing and a blast. In Honduras we did a cultural tour. We saw traditional dancers, homes, cooking, and then took tiny canoes out in the Man Grove Tunnels. We took so many photos and had a blast.

30 Day Blog Challege: Day 7

Day 7: Favorite Movies

Wow...movies...i LOVE movies! Michael and I pretty much see a movie a week. Got to love the $6 movies at our local theater. I was a film minor in college and I love dramas.

Here are some of my favorites:

Casablanca - who can resist this love story! "Here's to looking at you kid." Gets me every time!

Citizen Kane - pretty typical I know, but I love Orson Welles. He was WAY before his time.

Wizard of Oz - my favorite movie as a kid. I grew up in Kansas so I always felt a special connection to this movie, I also did the play in middle school.

Here are some of my guilty pleasures.

The Notebook - still trying to get my fiance to watch it with me. If you are have a soul you will ball your eyes out.

My Girl - this is by far one of my favorite movies. I remember the day my dad passed to zone out and not think about it I went to watch TV and this movie was on. My mom suggested I do not watch this movie because it would prob make me sad, but oddly it felt like the right thing to watch.

30 Day Blog Challege: Day 5

Day 5: Your Sibling

photo.php.jpg

This is my little brother, I swear he is younger. He is pretty much the opposite of myself. He is about 6'3ish I think, I dont know, but tall. He is lanky, blonde, blue eyed and REALLY smart. He goes to Lee University in Tennessee on scholarships. He is an amazing student and really dedicated to what he is working on.

The one thing we do have in common is we are both sometimes absent minded. He is 4 years younger then me and even though we dont get to see each other a lot, we are pretty close. He is a groomsmen in our upcoming wedding and he is really excited about it.

He is the one who surprised us all. I do have another younger brother, but we are anything but close. Kevin is the youngest of 3 kids, had a hard time finding friends as a kid, was picked on a lot, was held back in first grade, could never find a sport or hobby where he felt like he belonged. Until he entered high school, joined a local church and started writing. He found his home and friends at the church and became a really good writer. He has been steadfast on his future ever sense.

I am really proud of my "little" brother. I wish we were closer and saw each other more, but he does live in Tennessee after all. I was really glad to spend Christmas this year with just him and Michael.
